Transitioned into a nursing role on ICU stepdown for 1 1/2 years then went to OR nursing. I have been an OR nurse for 11 years. I am specialized in Urology and Robotics. I am currently the Urology coordinator going on two years now and currently accepted a new challenge as GYN coordinator as well. I have my BSN CNOR and am currently in the processing of enrolling for my MSN in education. I am very passionate about teaching and leading others to success.

I am the nurse and operations manager of a pediatric ambulatory infusion center and sedation services. I also manage sedation services at our other hospital location in Youngstown.

My role is responsible to manage the day to day operations of a unit that services about 5,000 pediatric patients per year. I also oversee all professional and technical billing, manage a staff of 25, manage separate budgets for all 3 service lines, participate on a national level in a pediatric sedation consortium and am eagerly building the infusion services offered in our center.

Family Practice seeing primarily adults in the office with some children, we also see patients in their homes usually being the elderly who have problems getting out and to the office

This is an APRN owned practice, you will initially start out with me in the room with the patient and as your comfort level builds you will do the initial evaluation, diagnose, and recommend changes or referrals to specialties. You will also educate the patients on medications, obesity, and other disease processes they may be dealing with. I expect you to be prepared to learn, engaged, to push yourself. • Coordinated care efforts with physicians and support staff for the highest acuity cardiac and lung patients, specializing in heart and lung transplant surgeries. • Monitoring and recording vital signs, EKGs, ventilation, pain, levels of consciousness, symptoms, and changes in the patient’s condition. Administer medications as determined by patient’s condition. • Assist physicians in bedside tracheostomies, bronchoscopies, chest-tube and pericardial drains, epidurals, thoracentesis, and open-chest CPR. • Provide extensive post-operative wound care- including prophylaxis, identification, and treatment care for surgical wounds the highest progression of pressure injuries, abscesses, and ulcerations. Performed debridement of wounds, identification of infection, and determination of optimal wound treatment modalities. • Provide holistic patient education to elevate quality and consistency of care, boost patient self management, improve patient satisfaction and outcomes, and ensure proper quality of life conversations with each patient as an individual.
